An opportunity for a motivated person to join the Despatch team as a Driver. You will be employed to deliver products to Customers timeously and to operate a heavy-duty vehicle safely and economically and in compliance with legal and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure timeous delivery of the product.

• Ability to follow routes and schedule.

• Loading and unloading products.

• Complete standard vehicle checklist as per maintenance checklist.

• Comply with company code of conduct, policies, and procedures.

• Know, understand and comply with Health and Safety Regulations.

• Participate in Stocktake.

• Complete Trip sheets and submit them after each shift.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification/s:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

• Valid driving license (code 10) with PDP.

Experience / Knowledge:

• Two years of driving experience.

• Excellent planning and time management skills.

Description(Driving Job)

EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

At least 2 years corporate experience as a Driver.

Good Communication Skills.

Able to take initiative within reason, if and when required.

Able to carry out an instruction from the Office Manager

Maintain the Company Vehicle in good condition and keep the vehicle clean

Be able to read a map or use a GPS to assist in charting out actual routes

SUMMARY OF MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliveries and collections from Head Office to the various sites and vice versa

Collection of Post from the Post Office.

Purchasing groceries and other adhoc items when required

Pick up and drop off of visitors from the Airport when required

Paying of Company accounts when required

Compliance within Company and other properties driving requirement/business rules.

Compliance with the law in terms of driving on the roads and highways.

Inform shareholders if delivered packages hold fragile items

Follow strict time rules in returning to work

The vehicle is to be used for Company purposes only

Driving of the 8Ton truck if required and operating of a Crane

Assisting Lifting of the equipment light or heavy.

Profile

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12 (required)

A valid Driver's Licence (Code 10 OR 14)

A valid PDP license would be an advantage
