Overview
The above vacancy exists in our Packaged Gas department, reporting to the Depot Supervisor. Qualified candidates who meet the requirements of the role are invited to apply.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the pre-post journey checks of the vehicle;
2. Ensure safe and efficient delivery and collection of cylinders at assigned destinations;
3. Responsible for the loading and offloading of cylinders;
5. Responsible for completion of all related paperwork and administrative duties;
4. Ensure SHERQ standards are constantly adhered to.
Requirements
1. A minimum Grade 12 certificate with Maths;
2. A valid unendorsed EC drivers’ license with a valid Dangerous Goods Certificate;
3. Must be in possession of a PrDP;
3. Must have own reliable transport;
4. Must have a forklift license;
5. A minimum of 5 years in heavy-duty driving & industrial production environment experience (Gas/ Chemical/ associated industry);
7. Must be medically fit to perform physical work;
8. Must be willing to work with a shift system as well as overtime when required;
9. Must be able to produce written reports on vehicle fitness;
10. Must have good verbal and written communication skills, specifically in English.
Experience:
- heavy duty driving: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Heavy-vehicle drivers license (Required)
- Dangerous Goods certificate (Required)
