About the Role
Rightmove Recruitment is partnering with well-established, growing Christchurch-based companies seeking reliable and experienced Class 4 and Class 5 Drivers for ongoing work. Roles include civil works, Hiab operations, and general freight, with work available across Christchurch and the wider South Island.
This is full-time, ongoing employment, with temp-to-perm opportunities for the right candidates.
Typical hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (hours may vary)
Pay rate:
$28.00 – $32.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities & Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:

A Class 4 or Class 5 licence
-
Road Ranger experience (essential)
-
Experience carting aggregates around sites
-
Confidence in reversing, tipping, and site work
-
Willingness to assist with general groundwork when required
-
Hiab ticket (preferred but not essential for some roles)

Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and other site trades

A reliable and punctual work ethic

Ability to maintain accurate driver records

Experience with Load Security / Unit Standard 28715 (advantageous)

Commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards

Background in civil construction, drainage, or bulk earthworks (preferred but not essential)
