🚛 Job Overview – Class 4 & Class 5 Drivers (New Zealand)

Rightmove Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Class 4 and Class 5 Truck Drivers in New Zealand for well-established, growing transport and civil companies based in Christchurch and across the South Island.

These are full-time, ongoing truck driving jobs with strong potential for temp-to-permanent employment. Available roles include civil construction transport, Hiab work, and general freight operations, offering stable hours and long-term career opportunities.

⏰ Working Hours

• Monday to Friday

• Approx. 7:00am – 5:00pm

• Hours may vary depending on project and site requirements

💵 Pay & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $28.00 – $32.00 (depending on experience)

• Weekly pay

• 8% holiday pay

• PPE provided

• Ongoing support from Rightmove Recruitment

✅ Key Responsibilities & Driver Requirements

To be successful in these Class 4 / Class 5 truck driving jobs, candidates should have:

• Valid New Zealand Class 4 or Class 5 licence

• Road Ranger experience (essential)

• Experience carting aggregates on civil or construction sites

• Confidence in reversing, tipping, and general site work

• Willingness to assist with general groundwork when required

• Hiab ticket (preferred but not essential for all roles)

• Strong communication skills for coordination with site teams

• Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic

• Ability to maintain accurate driver and compliance records

• Knowledge of Load Security / Unit Standard 28715 (advantageous)

• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards

• Background in civil construction, drainage, or bulk earthworks (preferred but not essential)
