The Velvet Cake Co. logistic department is looking for a delivery driver to help us deliver high-end cakes and ensure they reach our customers in time. You will be required to drive a delivery vehicle around on different routes and schedules to ensure targets are met.

Responsibilities

Deliver fragile items to different addresses as assigned.

Requirements

Great time management and organization skills.

Good ability to drive with no prior violations.

A clear criminal background check.

A valid South African driver's license.

• Truck housekeeping – ensuring trucks are neat and clean at all times

• POD control – all POD’s to be signed, stamped, and accounted for
• Fuel consumptions – meet targets set by the company
• Stock control – monitor the offloading and loading of all stock from the truck and ensure 100% accuracy • Pallet control – monitor the offloading and loading of pallets from the truck and ensure 100% accuracy
• Daily Vehicle Checklists – trucks to be checked daily, checklists completed, defects reported and signed and handed to the fleet controller/supervisor
